No início da noite desta terça-feira, a rescisão de Douglas com o Vasco foi publicada no Boletim Informativo Diário da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol. Questionado, o clube, por meio da assessoria de imprensa, afirmou que o volante rescindiu para depois renovar. O cuidado pela confirmação no clube é pela espera da assinatura dos documentos. O vínculo dele havia sido renovado em 30 de maio até 2021 para aumentar a multa rescisória e o Manchester City já estava de olho em Douglas há alguns meses.

Em um primeiro momento, Douglas será repassado pelo Manchester City ao Girona, da Espanha, clube que pertence ao mesmo grupo de donos dos ingleses – o irmão de Pep Guardiola, técnico do City, é o administrador. Também nesse primeiro momento a transação renderá 12 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 44,5 milhões) ao Vasco, que tem a totalidade dos direitos do atleta. Ficará na Espanha por um período de um ano e quando chegar a Inglaterra de vez, mais três milhões de euros (quase R$ 11,1 milhões) serão pagos, totalizando os 15 milhões de euros da negociação.

Na manhã desta terça-feira, após o treinamento em São Januário, o técnico Milton Mendes afirmou que Douglas era dúvida para a partida desta quarta-feira, contra o Vitória, em Salvador, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro, por conta de desconforto muscular. Entretanto, o volante acabou nem viajando. Nas redes sociais, os torcedores do Vasco estão apresentando bastante insatisfação por conta da saída do xodó. Vale lembrar que ele foi integrado aos profissionais há menos de um ano (agosto do ano passado). Douglas entrou no período 39 vezes em campo e fez cinco gols.

The Verdict: Frustration for pair

Llorente’s first season at Leeds was injury-plagued and the hope was that this time around it would be different, but that doesn’t look like being the case following his latest setback at the weekend.

The Spaniard can’t seem to string together a prolonged spell in the team and he is becoming increasingly difficult to rely upon, with this being the third time in his last 17 matches that he has gone off injured.

Forshaw may find it tough to recover from an injury which has kept him out for the best part of two years, sadly, and his availability should be judged more as a bonus than anything considering what he has been through fitness-wise.

White played all four Tests in the recent series in India but he struggled to have any real impact with the ball and Jason Krejza’s stunning 12-wicket debut left White surplus to requirements for Thursday’s Gabba Test against New Zealand.White batted at No. 8 in the Tests, despite being a top-six player for Victoria. Na prática, tenta muito menos essa jogada importante do setor do que o colega: Jucilei aplicou 23 desarmes certos e quatro errados, sendo líder e vice-líder, respectivamente, do Tricolor nesses fundamentos no torneio.

Mesmo com a pequena participação defensiva, com média de menos de uma tentativa de desarme por jogo, Cícero, de 32 anos, consegue ser o segundo jogador do clube com mais cartões amarelos na liga nacional. Foram dois, abaixo somente das três advertências que o zagueiro Rodrigo Caio recebeu até agora.

Cícero não compensa esses números na missão de ser uma espécie de motor do time. Nesses oito jogos, deu 281 passes certos (é o terceiro do time, mas bem abaixo dos 442 de Jucilei e dos 356 de Junior Tavares) e 26errados (quarto da equipe, muito longe dos 57 de Pratto e Junior Tavares e dos 42 de Marcinho). E também não aprofunda o jogo, já que tem 13 lançamentos certos (é o quarto do time) e nove lançamentos errados (oitavo).

As ações ofensivas são ainda mais baixas. Cícero arriscou apenas um drible no Brasileiro (e acertou) e errou todos os quatro cruzamentos (décimo do time no quesito) e as seis finalizações (terceiro) que tentou em oito partidas. E deu somente quatro passes para finalizações, com nenhuma virando gol – na prática, cria uma chance a cada dois jogos.

Rogério Ceni pediu a contratação de Cícero, com quem foi campeão da Copa Sul-Americana enquanto ele era goleiro, em 2012. O meio-campista chegou do Fluminense e tem contrato até o fim de 2018. Costuma receber elogios do técnico, passando sem crise pelo acesso de fúria do treinador nos vestiários do Morumbi no qual um quadro atingiu o jogador acidentalmente, há dois meses.
