Manchester City take on PSG away from home in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday night, with Pep Guardiola’s side looking to secure a positive result ahead of the return leg at the Etihad next week.

The Citizens have never reached the Champions League final so will be looking to make history over the next couple of weeks, although they face a tough test against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who were edged out against Bayern Munich in last year’s final.

Guardiola’s side are fresh from winning their fourth consecutive Carabao Cup final at the weekend, where the Spanish manager selected a strong team, which suggests that a few changes are likely ahead of the trip to Les Parc de Princes.

Although he managed a clean sheet in the final, Zack Steffen will sit this one out to allow first-choice Ederson to reclaim his place in goal.

Despite John Stones being available after missing the final through suspension, we feel that Guardiola will stick with the same back four for this one, as Aymeric Laporte deserves to keep his place after scoring the winner, whilst Stones’ last performance against Aston Villa was less than impressive.

There is one change in midfield, as Rodri comes in for Fernandinho after being rested for the final, and he features alongside the magnificent Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan.

Finally, there is one change in attack, as Raheem Sterling is replaced by Bernardo Silva, with the “exceptional” former AS Monaco man playing as a false nine, with Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez supporting him from the wings.

كشفت تقارير صحفية تونسية، عن نية نادي الدحيل القطري في الاستغناء عن فرجاني ساسي، خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية المُقبلة.

وكان فرجاني ساسي لاعبًا في صفوف الزمالك قبل أن يقرر رحيله إلى الدحيل الموسم الماضي، وشارك بقميص الفريق القطري في 15 مباراة، صنع خلالها هدفين فقط.

وأكدت صحيفة “football tunisien”، من خلال مصادر مقربة للاعب، أنه لن يستمر طويلًا مع الدحيل، وأن هناك اتفاقًا بين الطرفين على إنهاء التعاقد في الصيف المُقبل.

وأشارت إلى أن اللاعب التونسي ينتظر تسوية مستحقاته القديمة مع الزمالك التي كانت سببًا في وجود نزاع قانوني، من أجل الاتفاق على عقد جديد.

Despite already possessing the scintillating Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton’s policy this summer appears to be on strengthening their frontline.

The Toffees forward has 20 goals in all competitions but when did an extra dose of firepower ever hurt anyone?

We’ve seen some eye-catching rumours emerge already with the likes of Sergio Aguero and Andrea Belotti linked with Goodison.

Though, one of the most interesting links is to Leipzig attacker Hwang-hee Chan. He penned terms with the Bundesliga outfit last summer but after a campaign where he’s battled illness, it’s not gone according to plan.

As a result, Leipzig are willing to let him depart in a deal potentially worth £13.5m. That isn’t too much when you consider some of the fees Everton have parted ways with in the last few years.

Hwang would add wonderful depth to this Toffees side but what is his playstyle?

The South Korean is capable of playing out wide while he’s also adept through the middle as an out and out centre forward or as a shadow striker.

With that in mind, he could become Everton’s very own Roberto Firmino. He made a living out of playing as a false 9 for Hoffenheim and since moving to Liverpool, he’s truly made that position his own.

The Toffees won’t like to be reminded of Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League triumphs but Firmino played a major part in that success because of his positioning; a trait that’s not too dissimilar to the way Hwang plays.

In an article on the official Bundesliga website, they hailed the South Korean’s exploits against the Reds when he played for Salzburg. The forward scored and assisted during a 4-3 defeat at Anfield as he was praised for his “dexterity and flexibility.”

The article wrote: “In that sense, Hwang is not dissimilar to Liverpool’s former Hoffenheim striker Firmino. Happy leading the line as part of either a duo or a front three, Leipzig’s first summer signing likes to get on the ball and has a trick or two up his sleeve to shake off a defender.

“Comfortable with both feet, with the strength to hold off an opponent and the pace to exploit space, he could cause problems for many a Bundesliga defence – just like Brazil international Firmino did before him.”

The 25-year-old would clearly offer a lot to Everton’s forward line, providing not just goals but also creativity in abundance with his “brutal dynamism”, an attribute Former Liefering and Salzburg head coach Peter Zeidler waxed lyrical about.

Last term Hwang created more goals (22) than he scored (16). Considering he was playing as a centre forward for the whole campaign, this provides the biggest indication yet of why he’s so like Firmino.

The Brazilian isn’t the most devastating finisher but his vision and chance creation is first-class. As Liverpool won the league last season, Firmino similarly produced more goals for his teammates than he scored.

It worked for Liverpool having a player like that, so there’s no reason it wouldn’t work with Everton.

After all, combine him with Calvert-Lewin in a two-prong attack and you could have a very menacing duo.

Fans of Glasgow Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Rangers relayed footage of a goal scored by Ianis Hagi against the club’s upcoming opponents on Wednesday evening.

In the footage, Hagi picks up the ball from a wide position, before driving infield and unleashing a specular long-range drive that manages to find the bottom corner of the St Johnstone net, a goal that secured all three points for Gers in the Scottish Premiership fixture back in February.

So far this season, Hagi has been in fine form over his 28 appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side, scoring six goals and providing nine assists, as well as averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.93.

And, after Rangers shared the footage of the 22-year-old’s strike against St Johnstone on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many speculating as to whether the clip was a hint that the Romania international could be starting against the Saints once again on Wednesday evening.

O drama de Chavez chegou ao auge após o jogo contra o Santos, no Pacaembu, no último dia 13, em que ele perdeu uma chance incrível no fim: o rival venceu por 1 a 0. Após o jogo, o atacante chorou muito no vestiário do Pacaembu e foi consolado por Lugano.

Chavez foi contratado do Boca Juniors (ARG) por empréstimo até junho de 2017. É o mesmo tempo do vínculo de Centurión, que seguiu para o Boca. Desde que chegou, o camisa 9 disputou 18 jogos e fez seis gols.

This season has been a torrid affair for everyone at Celtic, no less than Neil Lennon.

Their capitulation this term led to his departure and there were no shortage of reasons as to why he left Parkhead.

They have lost their dominance on Scottish football and performances, certainly from a defensive point of view, have been lacklustre.

Though, one issue lying slightly beneath the surface is a lack of minutes for their younger players. Cameron Harper has left the club while Karamoko Dembele could follow him through the exit door this summer when his contract expires.

As a result, a host of their talented reserve players have headed out on loan. Luca Connell is spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Queen’s Park while talented Norwegian Leo Hjelde is with Ross County until the climax of the season.

The centre-back has already been compared to both Virgil van Dijk and Kristoffer Ajer but his development for now, is clearly best suited away from the Hoops.

One player who has earned the trust of coaches at Celtic, however, is Dane Murray. Another 17-year-old defender, he is now training with the senior team.

There is no loan spell in the pipeline for Murray but such is his immense potential that he’s already getting used to his surroundings among the first team squad at Lennoxtown.

He has trained under John Kennedy on a number of occasions now, a period he’s described as “brilliant.”

After penning new terms with Celtic, Murray spoke this month about his development and transition to playing alongside more experienced players.

“Everything about your game comes on more when you train with the first-team,” he began. “The standard and intensity are much higher. Everyone helps you along every step of the way and they’re constantly giving you information. They just want the best for you really.”

The teenager is clearly being guided by the right people and he has been extremely keen to learn from someone like Ajer.

The Norway international came to Scotland as a teenager and has developed into one of Celtic’s key players.

“You also have Kris Ajer who came in at 17 and look at him now. The change he’s made has been brilliant,” Murray explained.

“Then you have the club captain Scott Brown. What he’s done in his career has been brilliant and I can only hope for even half of that,” he added.

It’s not just the age at which Ajer and Murray broke into the set-up that’s similar, however. The latter started out as a midfielder and is still very much capable of playing further forward, as well as in defence.

Ajer has played in a holding role in the past and has also performed admirably at full-back. Versatility like that, particularly at a young age, is a very useful asset to have.

With that in mind, it might make the transition to first team life a little smoother for Murray.

Unlike Hjelde, he has been trusted to stay at the club and develop. That can only be a good thing.

A novela envolvendo a renovação do zagueiro Digão teve um final feliz para a torcida tricolor. O atleta teve o vínculo renovado com o Fluminense e assinou contrato em definitivo até o fim de 2022. Aos 31 anos, o jogadortinha vínculo com o Cruzeiro até o meio do ano, mas conseguiu a rescisão amigável.

– É um momento de muita felicidade. Esse é o lugar onde me sinto bem, me sinto em casa. Estou muito feliz em assinar esse contrato com o clube. Espero poder corresponder ao máximo, vou dar minha vida como sempre fiz. Acredito que será um ano muito produtivo, vamos colocar o Fluminense no lugar onde ele merece estar, brigando por títulos – comemorou Digão.

Cria de Xerém, Digão estreou como profissional pelo Fluminense em 2009. Na sua primeira passagem, até 2013, o zagueiro conquistou dois títulos brasileiros (2010 e 2012) e um carioca (2012). Após deixar o Tricolor, passou pelo Al-Hilal-SAU, Al-Sharjah-EAU e Cruzeiro. Retornou ao Tricolor em junho de 2018. Vestindo a camisa do Time de Guerreiros, fez 159 jogos e marcou nove gols.

Apesar de ter recebido propostas de clubes da Arábia Saudita e do México, além de sondagem do Internacional, Digão preferiu permanecer no Tricolor. O zagueiro levou em consideração a sua identificação com o clube. Outro ponto que fez o jogador acertar com o Fluminense foi a confiança na gestão de Mário Bittencourt.

A comissão técnica espera poder contar com Digão o quanto antes e a tendência é de que ele se apresente até sexta-feira. Sem poder treinar no clube, o capitão manteve a forma física por conta própria. O desfecho da negociação aconteceu em boa hora já que o zagueiro Frazan lesionou gravemente o joelho direito e deve ser desfalque por até oito meses.
