Two batting collapses followed by a solid partnership in the latter half of the day ensured that the Group B match between Delhi and hosts Maharashtra remained wide open going into the last day.Chirag Khurana’s fourth successive fifty and his unbroken 105-run association for the sixth wicket with Rahul Tripathi helped Maharashtra end the day with a lead of 210 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. If Delhi, who conceded the first-innings lead for the first time this season, are to continue their streak of earning maximum points, they will have to stage a lower-order collapse on the last morning.For the second morning in succession, the bowlers held an upper hand in the opening session. The Maharashtra quicks exploited the misty conditions to their advantage. But it was a reckless shot by Gautam Gambhir off Khurana’s offspin that opened the floodgates.The Delhi captain had laid perfect anchor for more than five-and-a-half hours to help Delhi start the day at 240 for 4, 90 behind Maharashtra’s 330. They required Gambhir to not only get the seven runs required for his century but also continue his unbroken 91-run association with Rajat Bhatia for ensuring the lead for his side.With a hundred in sight, Gambhir tried to hoick over cow corner off the first ball he faced from Khurana. Kedar Jadhav attempted a shot that was a mirror image of Motwani’s, but missed the ball and was unfortunate to be adjudged caught behind.At 82 for 5, Delhi were sensing a comeback. But Tripathi and Khurana deprived them of any further rewards. The duo’s first task was to bat out the half hour remaining in the second session. They did it without a problem and put their heads down again in the last. They didn’t fall prey to Delhi’s attacking and hardly scored a run for the first half hour of the last session.Once they grew in confidence, they started displaying cuts and drives at will. Khurana was the more aggressive of the pair, reaching his fifty twenty minutes before stumps. His inside-out six off Manan Sharma was the shot of the day.

أعلن الكولومبي خوان كارلوس أوسوريو المدير الفني لفريق الزمالك، عن تشكيل اللاعبين في مباراة اليوم أمام زد، والتي تجمع بينهما ضمن منافسات بطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

ويلتقي الزمالك مع زد، على أرضية استاد القاهرة، في إطار مواجهات الجولة السادسة من عمر المسابقة المحلية.

ويحتل الزمالك المركز الخامس في ترتيب الدوري المصري برصيد 8 نقاط من أصل 5 لقاءات بعدما فاز في مواجهتين وتعادل بمثلهما وتلقى هزيمة وحيدة أمام إنبي.

فيما يتواجد زد في المركز الثالث من جدول ترتيب المسابقة برصيد 9 نقاط من أصل 5 مواجهات فاز بمباراتين وتعادل في 3 مواجهات دون التعرض لأي هزيمة.

بعد تمديد عقد ديدييه ديشان مع المنتخب الفرنسي، وترك زين الدين زيدان على الهامش لعدة سنوات أخرى، انقسم نويل لوجرايت في تصريحاته فيما يتعلق بالمدرب السابق لريال مدريد.

كان المدرب الذي حقق ثلاثة انتصارات في دوري أبطال أوروبا مع ريال مدريد، خالي من أي عقد منذ صيف 2021، ويأمل في أن يتولى قيادة فرنسا من قائده السابق بعد مونديال 2022.

مستقبل زيدان الآن في مركز الاهتمام، بينما اسمه مرتبط بالمنتخب البرازيلي على وجه الخصوص الذي يبحث أيضًا عن مدرب بعد رحيل تيتي.

وقد سُئل نويل لو جرايت رئيس الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم عن التكهنات حول زيدان، وقال في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية: “لا أعرف ما تقصده، أعلم جيدًا أن زيدان كان دائمًا في الصورة، يجب ألا نروي القصص”.

متابعًا: “كان هناك إمكانية فتح فصل جديد من خلال السماح لديشامب بالرحيل، كان لديه الكثير من المؤيدين، وكان بعضهم ينتظر ديشامب يغادر للاندفاع”.

وسُئل لو جرايت عن إمكانية تولي زيدان تدريب البرازيل، ورد: “زيدان في البرازيل؟ لا أعلم، سأفاجأ، ليفعل ما يريد، بالكاد أستطيع تصديق ذلك عندما يتعلق الأمر به، هذا ليس من شأني، لم أقابله أبدًا، ولم نفكر أبدًا في الانفصال عن ديدييه ديشامب”.

وأكمل: “يحتاج بعض الصحفيين إلى التغيير أو الاختراع لأنهم لا يعرفون ماذا يكتبون ويفضلون أن يقولوا الأمر السيء بدلاً من الجيد، زيدان في البرازيل هل سيؤذي قلبي أن يذهب إلى هناك؟، ليس لدي ما أرتجف بشأنه، لا أهتم يمكنه الذهاب إلى حيث يريد، سواء نادٍ أو منتخب”.

وباقتضاب شديد عندما سئل عما إذا كان زين الدين زيدان قد حاول الاتصال به في الأشهر الأخيرة لمنصب مدرب فرنسا، رد: “بالتأكيد لا، لم أكن حتى لأتحدث معه على الهاتف”.

وأشار: ” زيدان يريد برنامجًا خاصًا به للتدريب، قم بعمل برنامج خاص لزيدان لإيجاد نادٍ أو دولة أخرى يقوم بتدريبهم”.

O Corinthians está nas quartas de final da Copa do Brasil. Na noite desta quinta-feira, o Timão ganhou do Vitória por 3 a 1 e avançou na competição, já que o duelo de ida havia terminado empatado sem gols. Agora, o foco é no clássico contra o Palmeiras, no domingo, pelo Brasileirão, na mesma Arena Corinthians, em Itaquera.

Água mole em pedra dura…
O Vitória adotou a mesma estratégia do confronto de ida: se fechar para esperar o Corinthians e tentar surpreender no contra-ataque. Ciente disso, como Carille e os jogadores já haviam alertado, o Timão teve paciência para rodar a bola e criar as oportunidades.

O gol só apareceu aos 38 minutos. Mantuan cobrou lateral para Gabriel, que girou em cima de Neilton e cruzou rasteiro. O goleiro Caíque rebateu para o meio da área, e Maycon não teve trabalhos para mandar para o fundo da rede no rebote.

O artilheiro da Arena
Romero foi o dono do segundo tempo ao marcar duas vezes e aumentar sua vantagem na artilharia do estádio. Ele agora tem 23 gols, contra 20 de Jadson.

O primeiro gol do paraguaio saiu quando o Vitória pressionava em busca do empate. Aos 13 minutos, ele recebeu de Jadson e chutou em cima do goleiro, mas pegou o rebote e não desperdiçou. Na comemoração, ele fez o gesto de quatro com as mãos e apontou para a torcida, lembrando que a Arena teve seu jogo festivo inaugural há exatamente quatro anos, num “Corinthians contra Corinthians”. O “dono” da Arena ainda marcou de novo aos 20 minutos, também na segunda tentativa. Romero chutou de longe e viu Sidcley pegar o rebote e cruzar na medida para ele marcar.

E o Vitória?
A equipe adotou outra postura no segundo tempo, com a entrada de André Lima no lugar de Willian Farias, mas viu o Corinthians ampliar a vantagem. Mesmo assim, o Vitória não desistiu e tentou ao menos diminuir.

O gol de honra saiu apenas aos 31 minutos do segundo tempo, justamente com André Lima, que aproveitou cruzamento de Guilherme Costa. O Vitória, porém, não conseguiu forçar em busca do empate e ainda teve José Welison expulso.

Fim do jejum
O Corinthians não ganhava havia quatro jogos, maior jejum sem vitórias desde que Carille assumiu o comando da equipe. Fim da sequência negativa. Que venha o Dérbi!

Michael Clarke will join the Channel Nine commentary team for the Boxing Day Test between Australia and India.
“I’m not sure what to expect. It will certainly be unusual watching the boys from the booth rather than being out there with them on the field,” Clarke wrote in his column for News Ltd. “Still, it has got to be an improvement on the last Test, which I watched first from a hospital bed and then from my couch.”
There was more good news for Channel Nine as Bill Lawry will make a return on the mic. “He brings that unbridled enthusiasm that just can’t be replaced,” said Brian McNamara, their executive producer of cricket.

Michael Clarke has said he is recovering well from the surgery on his hamstring and hopes to be fit in time for the 2015 World Cup.Clarke suffered a serious injury to the tendon component of his right hamstring on the final day of the first Test in Adelaide and underwent surgery last week; recovery from such an operation can take months. In his column for the newspaper, Clarke said he felt no pain while walking and was eager to start off with the second stage of his rehabilitation programme.”The biggest thing for me at the moment is getting back on the field for the World Cup,” he said “I have been told by medical staff that I am in as good a condition as I can be a week after undergoing the surgery. There is no swelling and no pain when I walk. I can’t wait to begin stage two of the rehab process which involves starting to run again.”In the immediate aftermath of the injury, Clarke had admitted that he might have played for Australia for the last time and he might need to consider his cricket future. However, deciding on surgery was a clear indication that he retained the desire to come back and play for Australia again and the team physio, Alex Kountouris, later said that reports from the surgeon who had operated on Clarke had been positive.Clarke also backed senior players, Chris Rogers, Shane Watson and Brad Haddin, who have faced batting slumps recently. While Rogers struck fifties in both innings of the Gabba Test, Watson and Haddin have scored 72 and 21 runs respectively in four innings of the series so far.Clarke said it was crucial to have experienced players in the team when youngsters like Joe Burns were coming through. Burns was picked in the Australia Test squad in place of the injured Mitchell Marsh and could make his Test debut against India on Boxing Day at the MCG. Clarke also hoped that Rogers, Watson and Haddin would be a part of the team for the Ashes tour to England next year.”Personally, I hope all three of them are on the plane to England for next year’s Ashes series,” Clarke added. “They bring so much more to the table than just their batting. It’s crucial to have experienced guys like these in a team when you’re bringing through youngsters like Joe Burns.”I know how much I benefited over the years from the knowledge passed down to me by the seniors, and I’m sure Joe will be no different. I wish him all the best.”

Após a partida, Cuca entrou em campo para falar com Leandro Castan e acabou discutindo com o zagueiro vascaíno. Na entrevista, o treinador do Tricolor falou sobre o episódio.

– Eu não ia falar nada porque coisas do campo tem que morrer no campo. Ano passado, o Castan me cobrou para chamar atenção do Gabigol. Ele entendeu. Hoje, quando o juiz apitou uma falta, depois houve um chapéu. Isso irrita muito quem está no campo. Eu falei: “lembra?”. Ele veio com dedo em riste. Coisas do campo. Nada mais do que isso.
