Manchester United fans are hoping they’ll see 19-year-old Diogo Dalot in action when they host Frank Lampard’s Derby County at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

Dalot made his debut for United last week when he started in the club’s opening round Champions League match against Young Boys, which United comfortably won 3-0. The fans however were not impressed with Antonio Valencia’s performance over the weekend that saw José Mourinho’s men held to a 1-1 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The half-hearted performance has angered United fans after the club went into the match on the back of three consecutive victories, but Wolves showed again that they are in the Premier League to compete.

The match against Derby will give Mourinho a good opportunity to explore some options to get his team back on track ahead of Saturday’s trip to West Ham United in the Premier League.

Manchester United fans aren’t too convinced with manager José Mourinho’s comments on Friday, with the Portuguese suggesting that their is no trouble between himself and midfielder Paul Pogba.

The duo were seen having a heated exchange of words in training on Wednesday but Mourinho confirmed that the Frenchman had a successful week of preparation ahead of their trip to West Ham United on Saturday.

United fans, however, are blaming Mourinho and Pogba for their recent poor run of form due to the ongoing troubles in their relationship. The boss stripped Pogba of his vice-captaincy ahead of the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup defeat to Derby County on Wednesday, saying the 25-year-old will never captain the team again.

Some United fans have indicated that one or the other should leave the club for progress to be seen, with most of them calling for the manager to resign.

Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to a promising transfer rumour, as reports claim they are still interested in Tanguy Ndombele.

According to L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), Mauricio Pochettino has “fallen under the spell” of Ndombele, and wants to bring the young midfielder to North London.

The 21 year-old, who has been included Didier Deschamps’ latest France squad, was heavily linked with Tottenham during the summer.

Many fans saw the youngster as a direct replacement for Mousa Dembele, who is expected to depart Tottenham when his contract expires next summer.

As well as their names sounding similar, the two players have an eerily similar style of play, both brilliant at breaking up opposition attacks and weaving through difficult areas with the ball.

Ndombele is a much superior passer to Dembele though, and Tottenham fans are desperate to sign him.

Judging from the Twitter reactions below though, it seems like Daniel Levy may have missed the boat on this one…

The pressure on Southampton manager Mark Hughes is increasing after a disappointing start to the 2018/19 Premier League season, and the club should consider replacing the Welshman with Brentford boss Dean Smith.

What’s the word, then?

Well, having steered the club to safety last term, Hughes would have hoped to hit the ground running during the current campaign in order to ensure that the south coast outfit didn’t find themselves in another relegation battle.

Despite having a slightly favourable fixture list including home matches against Burnley, Leicester City and Brighton and Hove Albion – as well as trips to Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers – Saints have picked up just one win to date to leave them in 16th position in the standings.

Goalscoring has been a big problem for Southampton since the departure of Ronald Koeman in 2016, and despite the additions of Danny Ings, Mo Elyounoussi and Stuart Armstrong during the summer transfer window the issue doesn’t appear to have been eradicated – they have only scored six times in the top flight thus far.

Why should Saints target Smith?

While the 47-year-old has never managed in the Premier League he would undoubtedly help Southampton, who must make their January priority to sell 25-year-old midfielder, fans fall back in love with their club with the exciting brand of football that his teams play.

The Bees are exciting to watch – as shown by their 19 goals in 11 Championship fixtures so far this term – while they have been in and around the play-off picture during the previous three campaigns under Smith despite massive competition they face from some huge clubs like Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday, to name but a few.

Saints fans have been missing that entertainment and excitement at St Mary’s for a while now, and Smith could get the team playing the brand of football that those supporters want to see their side playing in the Premier League.

Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey is set to become involved in a major tug of war in January as two Premier League sides eye a swoop, The Evening Standard states.

What’s the word?

After a decade at Arsenal, during a time where he has scored two FA Cup final-winning goals for the Gunners, Aaron Ramsey looks increasingly likely to leave in 2019 with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

In order to receive a fee for his services, Arsenal may be prepared to approve a cut-price sale in January and The Evening Standard reports Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United will fight for his signature.

Ramsey is free to discuss terms with clubs outside of England in the New Year but his preference is to remain in the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently ranked as the favourites to land the 27-year-old.

An impossible situation?

Once again, Arsenal find themselves in a situation when a fan-favourite and a key player at the Emirates Stadium could be set to leave to join a Premier League rival. Regardless of whether Unai Emery deems him to be expendable or not, that is a deal that could come back to haunt the Gunners.

Arsenal have been fortunate in recent times not to have been damaged too much from the departures of the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Samir Nasri but Ramsey, at 27, is entering the prime years of his career and has a lot to offer.

The best scenario at this stage would be for Ramsey to move abroad on a free transfer at the end of the season but the midfielder, who is awaiting the birth of twins, is settled in England and such a bold switch seems unlikely.

Alfredo Morelos has been excellent for Rangers since Steven Gerrard’s arrival, but should the Gers consider cashing in while the rates are high?

You’d be hard pushed to find a player in hotter form right now that Morelos, who has scored 11 goals and added two assists so far this season.

The 22 year-old divided fans last season due to his inconsistency and occasional lapse of discipline, one of which has continued to plague him this season.

The fiery youngster has already received two easily avoidable red cards, and many fans still feel his lack of control will cost them at a vital moment.

Gerrard has shown his preference for a 4-3-3 formation, meaning there is only really room for one starting striker, and Kyle Lafferty could bring all the goals without the red cards.

The Gers would of course have to sign another striker if they were to sell Morelos, and the Colombian’s red-hot start to the season would certainly fetch a big enough fee to find a replacement.

Loads of Rangers fans have been giving their verdict on Thursday’s Europa League draw, and they’re absolutely delighted to have Ryan Jack back in the side.

Rangers continued their incredible unbeaten European run under Steven Gerrard on Thursday night, and fans are heaping praise on the returning Jack.

The midfielder is a fan favourite at Ibrox, but has missed the start of this season through injury.

The tough-tackling midfield ace looked almost back to his best on Thursday night, forming a midfield trio with summer signings Ovie Ejaria and Lassana Coulibaly.

While Ejaria was impressive once again, Jack was the standout performer in midfield, and fans are heaping praise on his display in the 0-0 draw.

The 26-year-old completed 80 per cent of his passes, made one tackle, two interceptions and three clearances.

Oliver Burke signed for West Bromwich Albion last summer with plenty of promise surrounding him.

The young winger cost in the region of £15m when the club bought him from RB Leipzig.

Unfortunately, though, the 21-year-old has struggled to break into the first team on a regular basis.

After the Baggies suffered relegation to the Championship it was thought that Burke would get more opportunities to shine.

However, so far this season the winger has played just 14 minutes of league action and had to settle for two EFL Cup matches.

Burke was in Darren Moore’s squad for the first seven Championship fixtures, but since then has spent the majority of his time representing the Under-21s.

Last weekend, the youngster, who in total this season has scored four goals, returned to the bench but did not make an appearance during the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

Due to his lack of minutes on the pitch, there has been speculation over Burke’s future, but what is the right decision for West Brom?

Tottenham Hotspur have been given a major boost they needed in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot after he was dropped for his side’s Ligue 1 clash with Marseille at the weekend because of poor timekeeping.

What’s the word, then?

Well, The Mirror reported last month that the north London outfit are ready to enter the bidding for the France international in January, with his contract with the French giants due to expire at the end of the season as things stand.

The 23-year-old, rated at £45m by Transfermarkt, would be available to Spurs on a pre-contract agreement in the New Year which would see him join them for nothing next summer, or they may have to pay a fee to get him for rest of the campaign if PSG decide to cash in.

The midfield certainly looks to be an area that could be a priority for Mauricio Pochettino in January, with Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele said to be surplus to requirements and the likes of Moussa Sissoko not up to starting matches for them.

Why is this good news?

Rabiot had been a regular under Thomas Tuchel at the Parc des Princes so far this term, but the latest disagreement will surely place a strain upon their relationship.

The 23-year-old won’t be happy about being dropped and it could affect whether he signs a new deal with the Ligue 1 holders or not, which could open the door for someone like Tottenham in January.

The midfielder would certainly bring some real quality to the centre of the park for Pochettino’s side, and he would be a brilliant long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele.

The potential lack of any transfer fee should mean that Daniel Levy can tempt Rabiot with high wages, and it would be a huge coup if he could get a deal over the line.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembélé has been ruled out until January with an ankle injury. 

This will be a bitter blow to Tottenham, who have already suffered their fair share of injuries thus far this season with both Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama recently returning from injuries themselves, but it signifies something much more.

The Belgian midfielder has been linked with a January move away from Tottenham for most of the season so far, and given this injury, he may well have played his final game for Tottenham. This will disappoint many fans, but given the fact that the club are preparing for his move, he may be swiftly sold as soon as January comes, meaning he will never get a chance to don the white of Spurs again.

The midfield rock’s form has dipped this season since the World Cup, as he has looked behind the pace and fatigued. He has not looked to be his characteristically imposing self in the centre of the field so far this term, and that would have been a worry for manager Mauricio Pochettino before this injury.

Dembélé has been a mainstay in Tottenham’s midfield since joining from Fulham in 2012, going on to make almost 250 appearances for the club, in which time he propelled himself as one of the leading midfielders in the Premier League. However, at the age of 31, his best days may be behind him, and Tottenham may know this, which is why they are seeking to offload him next transfer window.
